The songs
Slippery Slope plays classic R&B hits originally recorded by
artists like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Sam
& Dave, Wilson Pickett, Martha and the Vandellas, and more.
Our repertoire is based on the classic crossover R&B material
of the 60's and early 70's produced at Motown, Stax and a handful
of others. We also explore the later evolution of the genre into
disco and funk, and cover a few pop and blues numbers that owe
a debt to the R&B greats.
